I had to take poor little Poppy back to the vet this morning – her poor little chin was all scabby again and her lips and eyes had started to swell.
So, she had another steroid injection, and I have to put ointment in her eyes and bathe her chin…sigh.
Also, I have to replace all their plastic dishes with either ceramic or stainless steel… Or crystal…

What a great shot, she looks completely blissed out.
Apparently feline acne is very common when being fed from plastic dishes. I wish Poppy a speedy recovery, and of course the boys send purrs!
Crystal, of course. Or porcelain. π
Not silver??? … Gold plated??? π
I say crystal too. poor little Poppy.
Poor little pumpkin! She’s so so cute, Janet. My cats have occasionally gotten little scabs on their chins too, even with the glass/steel/ceramic bowls. They can be sloppy sometimes, bless them. I hope Poppy is doing better soon! (And by the way, I agree about the crystal but you know that once you buy crystal bowls, they won’t accept anything less…;)
I think crystal would be the most appropriate Janet. Only the best of course! Would the vet give you steroid tablets to keep at home? I have a stash for when my cat gets a mosquito bite as the vet knows that it’s an on-going issue and he said that too many steroid injections can give the cats diabetes. Apparently the tablets are better for their system if they have to have them more often than usual.
